Check out the size of Danny Way’s ultra megaramp

danny_way_megaramp

You know this bloke does nothing by halves. Ever since he appeared in a Powell video slaying a mini ramp, Danny Way has pushed himself to the brink of breaking point, got broke and come back for more. Recently he’s endured a slaying from this new behemoth, what could possibly be what he’s called on his insta the ultra mega ramp but from this photo of what possibly could be what he has been referring to, fuck skating that mate, you’re mad – it’s absolutely ridiculous.

Way is said to be filming something very special at the moment and in his own words said today that: “I often question myself, what the fuck have I gotten myself into this time?”

It’s rumoured that Monster and DC Shoes are behind this epic build that could be in a desert somewhere. Knowing that his supposed Plan B section did not materialise in the recent ‘True‘ video, this next part should be something to remember.

In related news his dog apparently has learned how to snuff out rocket 5-0’s…

Torey Pudwill’s Plan B True part

Toreypudwill

So here it is for 24 hrs only, Torey Pudwill‘s True part in full. The ender from the new Plan B video that has an amazing mix of technical and balls out skating. Lengthy grinds, tail slides, bluntslides, lipslides and so much more, all met with various tech endings alongside a whole lot more. There’s too much to take in on first viewing. Incredible skateboarding with a respectful cameo to his friend and lost legend, Lewis Marnell (RIP).

The full film is on iTunes if you want to download it, but not for free, it’s £7.64 ($11.99).

Plan B’s ‘True’ skate video premiere’s in LA

planb_true_skate

Warning, this post has some spoilers in it.

Last night, the new Plan B video ‘True’ was finally premiered in Los Angeles to a packed out Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood. From overall observations online it’s said to be amazing, “taken skateboarding to the next level” and has delivered a “face melter”.

If you were wondering if Sheckler took ‘that’ backside flip down the famous steps of El Toro then you will probably have to wait for the bonus section on the deluxe – that’s if they were holding it back of course. The team did introduced Chris Joslin though as their newest addition on the night. He’s said to have dropped an absolutely killer part that includes a massive tre flip down the UC Davis gap. You know the one, think Andrew Reynolds’ kickflip in Stay Gold.

Whilst we await a UK premiere and the official DVD or iTunes release, scroll down to watch some Danny Way footage shot on Bob’s megaramp filmed by Kurt Hayashi that he shared over the weekend ahead of the premiere. No helmet required…

etnies presents: Ryan Sheckler’s 15 years strong

ryansheckler_skateboarder

In an age where mainstream brands outside of skateboarding have come in and flexed muscles with large wads of cash with no scene history whatsoever, you have to admire the loyalty that Ryan Sheckler has shown to etnies. Fifteen years has gone by since he joined the brand and he is still one of the most consistent performers on a skateboard out there.

That loyalty is a rare sight in this corporately challenged landscape, especially in a recession, but I guess when you are dealing with a company that is 25 years young, and run by skaters who get out of bed for the right reasons everyday, it’s worth pledging your allegiance for. Take note.

So here it is, UK skate videographer Mike Manzoori and etnies have rolled out a tribute video looking back at those 15 years of service with Oliver Barton, Ricki Bedenbaugh, Atiba Jefferson, Manzoori himself and Arto Saari. Enjoy.
