Lords of the Swords returns on 25th August

lordsoftheswords2012The Essex skate scene has unleashed the first dagger to alert skateboarders that this year’s Lords of the Swords skate video comp is set to run on the weekend of 25th August!

Last year, 9 teams put in the effort to shred various spots, tick the boxes on tough challenges and film their edits as best possible at various Essex street spots, parks and more. Over the bank holiday weekend of 25th and 26th of August, the scene down there will be on the road and we will be covering the updates as they drop and of course, we will bring you the all of the videos for you to vote a winner.

Lakai vs Parlour Go Skateboarding Day spot sesh

Parlour Skateshop have hooked up with Lakai Shoes this Thursday 21st June for a cruise across London to support Go Skateboarding Day. The street sesh will include hitting up 7 spots that start at Mile End and finish at Old Street kicking off at 4.30pm. The first 50 people will receive FREE Lakai tees. How can you miss this?

23 bands for Sonisphere Festival line up announced

Sonisphere Festival have announced 23 acts who will play the rock event this summer over the weekend of 6th-8th July. Confirmed headliners include Queen (with Adam Lambert), Faith No More, and KISS. Other acts included in the announcement today include Evanescence, Wolfmother, Tim Minchin, The Darkness, Flogging Molly, Fields of the Nephilim, Lacuna Coil, Gojira, Ghost, Incubus, Marilyn Manson, Refused, Cypress Hill, Mastodon, The Blackout, Andrew W.K., Katatonia, Switchfoot, and I Killed The Prom Queen.
