This weekend’s romp in Scotland at both Transition Skatepark in Aberdeen and Kaos Skatepark in East Kilbride brought hammers from many who attended.
Rollersnakes came back with the video loot of Colin Adam, Alex Hallford, Adam Paris, Mark Burrows, Eddie Belvedere, Nick Roberts, Andy Scott, Rob Smith, Felix, and many more getting stuck into both parks. Looked like some good shit went down.
If you are looking for fresh wood for the Spring months ahead, Death have rolled out four new pro models this week that will be heading to your local skateshop very soon. Dan Cates has three new models on the shelves, one of them a joint CRV WKD deck with Rob Smith which is rad.
The Cates Cowskull comes in at a whopping 10.5″ in width and 33.5″ long. Patrick Melcher’s new rig the ‘Clash’ is 8.25” wide, Cates’ new Scurvy board is 9.75” and the CRV WKD model is a superb 8.75″.
Volcom Stone’s Hauling A$$ets jam at ISPO this week was a highlight of the trade show as usual. Stoner rock and some amazing mini ramp skateboarding on what looks like one of the best ramps ever made went down so press that play button for footage of Dannie Carlson, Sox, Glifberg, Rob Smith, Tim Zom, Ben Hatchell, Fernando Bramsmark, Axel Cruysberghs, Juergen Horwarth, Szymon Stachon, Julian Dykmans and many more.
Joe Gavin has dropped a sick new teaser ahead of his Snake Eyes Die premiere. Check this footage and await some fine skateboarding from Nev, Tony Da Silva, Joe Gavin, Tyrone O’Hanrahan, Ferg Anderson, Tom Day, Joel Peck, Eddie Belvedere, Ben Grove, Mark Kendrick, Rob Smith and many more with a soundtrack mixed by DJ Omas.
The film will premiere at Kraak in Manchester on December 4th at 8pm.
Chav Dan takes the longest grind comp. Ph: Ben Larthe
We had a serious session on Saturday. Thanks to all who came out to play at the Halloween Massacre 2012. We have been destroyed since the party, which was a proper knees up, so whilst the features, galleries and footage are all pieced together today, here’s an update from the skate jam for those who could not make it or just pussied out because it was cold.
There were too many amazing moments from the jam but four overall winners took some cash for their individual performances on the day. Firstly, Danish skater Dannie Carlsen (below photo by Ben Larthe) took the overall honours in the bowl jam with so many tricks including blunt flip fakies and so much more. This guy absolutely rips on a skateboard! Rob Smith took the vert wall jam with an array of tricks from heelblocks to blunt fakies. Alex DeCunha took the rail jam with talslide flip out and kickflip nosegrind (I think). Chav Dan took the longest grind with a fs 5050 that took both shallow end corners out. Ridiculous stuff. So many NBD’s went down due to the skatepark being so new.
Thanks to all who dressed up. Hilarious outfits! Notably the Banana, Jesus, the Pirates, Zip Face (who won best fancy dress on the day). Big ups to all of the BaySixty6 staff for hosting us plus photographer Ben Larthe, Sirus and Al who were there taking the evidence on the day for your perusal soon. Huge thanks to all of the guest riders from Heroin, Lovenskate, Kill City, Creature, Witchcraft, Death and Stand Up and who braved the cold to entertain us with some incredible skateboarding all afternoon.
The full feature is in motion but for now, hold tight the party destroyed us. It was insanely good fun! Thanks to all!

In classic Death style, Harrow’s most infamous skateboard company has announced today that the premiere of their new full length DVD will be held at The Trinity Bar in Harrow at 9pm on the eve of October 11th from 7pm.
This traditional get together for Death Skateboards videos has not been seen since Better Than Life dropped into the skate scene 5 years ago. Bands will play, I.D will be needed, booze will fly everywhere, the sound will be so deafening that some will wear earphones, others will be unable to see the screen due to crowd surfing but good times will be had by all.
Expect live bands and the screening of Death’s most eagerly anticipated film ever. Full sections will come from Cates, Melcher, Nicolson, Dave Allen, Rob Smith, Zarosh, Richie Jackson, Benson, Boots, Dean Palmer, Moggins, Adam Moss and more.
