Manchester has been trying to gain a vert ramp for many years now, and with the upcoming construction of “Beast Rampz Skatepark” in Ardwick this month, Reiss Johnson has set up a Go Fund Me page to help raise the £3000 needed to cover the cost of the build.
“After getting in touch with Tim – the owner of the soon to be skatepark, he informed me a vert ramp could be a possibility. After looking at the building we decided that a vert ramp could fit in however would be very expensive. We costed out the ramp and came to a figure of £6000 to cover materials. A private investor has already covered 50% of the cost and so we need around £3000 for the rest. We are currently in talks with possible sponsors meaning that this number could be even lower soon!”
Beast Rampz Skatepark is scheduled to be finished late spring/early summer 2013.

WHAT IS THIS?
We all know that skate sessions are going to become increasingly more difficult due to the weather this winter, but as usual, the hardcore will be out there filming no matter how cold it is, indoors or out – so this video comp is for you.
Following the success of last year’s Winter Video Edit Comp, it’s time to roll call the faithful as we are once again ready to receive your skate videos for the second year in a row. Watch Danny Bulmer’s winning edit before you go any further.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
There are no rules. It’s a straight forward skate video comp. Your video edit can be as short or as long as you like. You can film your video anywhere you like. In a skate park, on the streets, curb, bowl, vert, pool, anywhere, in any country- just get your friends together and start filming.
If you already have fresh footage sitting right there from the last month or so doing nothing. Use it. The winner will take home £200 and a supply of Ricta Wheels.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS?
The deadline for submissions February 18th so you have about 6-7 weeks to get this together. The best videos will be launched online the week after.
HOW YOU SUBMIT YOUR EDIT?
Edit your video, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo, keep it offline and submit a private link to us via our contact page so we can watch it. The best videos we receive will then be featured and the public will vote a winner.

2012 was awash with edits made for the web across the board, ranging from the corperate shoe companies to underground skate companies running on a budget. we decided to pick out 10 of our favourite productions for you to primarily watch and enjoy, and secondly, for you to vote which one was the best Company Skate edit of 2012.
There have been late contenders to this party as you will see once you delve into our selection, but don’t forget that a hell of a lot of work went into all of these these edits, so don’t get too trigger happy based on what is fresh out of the bag this month because a lot of skateboarding hit the internet this year that was absolutely amazing and we are lucky people put in the hours to bring it to us.
So here’s our selection. We have not got everything, we probably missed out someones favourite edit altogether.
