When we were back at school and picked up American magazines to get skate news, we would always wonder why the UK never had any skate camps to offer and were always jealous that they existed elsewhere.
This summer, the first Camp WESC was launched down in Truro, Cornwall where Mark Baines, Tom Knox, Nicky Howells, Paul Regan, Danny Beall, Ash Hall, Benny Fairfax, Joleon Pressey, Danny Brady and Danielle Gallacher got together and hosted what looked like a great few days of skating for many. Slam City Skates have been working on a new video to celebrate 25 years of servicing London’s skate scene and have dropped this amazing taster of what’s to come.

The Nokia Push project have released a new advert featuring skating from Southbank ‘s Karim Bakhtaoui and Akim Cherifis this week. It’s not the first time that Nokia have got behing skateboarding in the UK. Remember the Danny Brady advert that lit up the internet last September?
The technology takes the world of skate games away from the games console and back to the streets by allowing skaters’ boards to communicate with their N8 to score every single little move they make. Look out for 7 more films based on this technology to be released soon.
