The Baker Skateboards video premiere of Bake and Destroy was the talk of the town this weekend after skaters allegedly started riots in Los Angeles. The Hollywood Reporter and other news sources have run stories on the event where a few hundred skaters were said to have rampaged outside the Vine Theatre in Hollywood after too many turned up to get in. Allegedly bottles and rocks were thrown at Police who were on full scale alert with tear gas and shooters.
UK skater Alex Moul was there: “It was so gnarly it started a riot and that’s not a joke, Hollywood blvd shut down and locked in for our own protection as police were firing rubber bullets and letting off tear gas.”
Deathwish Skateboards pro Erik Ellington was one of hundreds inside the theatre when all hell broke loose outside and told ESPN:
“When I was watching the video I was midway through the theater and I heard from somebody that there was a riot going on out front and it’s crazy when you find something like that out when you really can’t do anything about it. If they shut the video off, there would be a riot on the inside.”

This year’s Crossfire Xmas Jam will celebrate its 10th Anniversary at BaySixty6 skatepark on Saturday December 15th. Expect a full day of the best skateboarding in the UK to celebrate a decade of bringing the skate scene together in the cold winter months.
Guest teams and the full schedule will be announced very soon, but for now, put the date in your dairy and look forward to a seriously fun day out in the capital.
We will see you at the all-new Bay66 for the Crossfire Halloween Massacre on Saturday 27th October which will feature an all day open jam in the new park and a Zombie Bowl Comp- the very first bowl session that the bay will receive since it re-opened.

As lines go, this one is Robbie Fowler size. John Getz rolls out line of the week without a doubt. Treflip lateflip and hardflip lateflip madness explained by filmer Nigel Alexander.
The hangovers will be on an 8+ this morning across Harrow following the filth and the fury that is tradition amongst the Death Skateboards fam on premiere night. Due to demand, their brand new ‘Ordinary Madness‘ film outed itself across 5 screens at the Trinity, screening to a packed house that was full of faces, new and old, including most of the am and pro teams, liggers, locals, punks and beautiful degenerates.
The night was messy, the film was ace, look out for a gallery feature at some point today but lastly – well done to Zorlac, Mark Nicolson and Jake Shunt for working their arses off for the last 5 years to unleash this one.

Put the 5th of November in your dairy if you are a fan of Patrick Wallner’s travel edits. ‘Meet the Stans’ documents the journey of a group of various skateboarders traveling along the ancient Silk Road traversing China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
On the road were Dave Bachinsky, Jimmy McDonald, Laurence Keefe, Dan Zvereff, Stas Provotorov, Gosha Konyshev, Walker Ryan, Kenny Reed and Michael Mackrodt. The results should be a must see.
