A Tribe Called Quest documentary gets UK Premiere

The UK Premiere of Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest will be shown exclusively by The Doctor’s Orders and Soundcrash.

The film will be shown at Koko in London and will be followed by an exclusive live performance from Phife Dawg on November 21st. Doors are at 7pm with the film starting at 8pm. Below is the trailer for the film, which contains interviews with the likes of Common, Beastie Boys, De La Soul, Mos Def, Ludacris, Pete Rock and more.

Jehst, Ghostpoet and Anchorsong play XOYO

XOYO will host the single launch for UK hip hop kingpin Jehst on April 16th.

In addition to Billy Brimstone, the line-up will feature Anchorsong [for his EP launch], Kelpe, Lukid, Kutmah and man of the moment Ghostpoet in a line up that should satisfy all tastes.

Kid Koala hits London

Turntablist extraordinaire Kid Koala is hitting London this month.

The Canadian DJ, who has wowed crowds across the globe with his quick hand skills and ability to turn anything into a coherent tune, will be playing Koko on March 12th. He will be ably supported by DJ Vadim, a live set by Polar Bear and Mr Thing, which is set to be a stellar night.
