J-Dilla Changed My Life dates announced

The Doctor’s Orders are once again putting on their J-Dilla night – J-Dilla Changed My Life.

Three events will take places across a weekend with London, Manchester and Brighton hosting the events which celebrate the life of one of hip hop’s most influential, respected and loved luminaries. Below are the details and all donations go to The J-Dilla Foundation and Lupus UK, a thoroughly worthy cause.

Tickets before the night are a minimum £6 donation, the minimum going up on the night of the event.

February 3rd – Manchester – The Ruby Lounge – Tickets.
Mr Scruff (Dilla breaks set), Spin Doctor (The Doctor’s Orders), Illum Sphere and Jonny Dub (Hoya Hoya), Oscar Wildstyle and Wiggie Smalls (Juicy), DJ A-UP and Agent J (In The Loop) & Mr E (Taste The Diff’rence)

February 4th – Brighton – Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar – Tickets
Spin Doctor (The Doctor’s Orders), Figure of Wax & Ruff Snippets

February 5th – London – Scala – Tickets: £30 VIP Tickets grant exclusive access to VIP bar & include an exclusive J-Dilla T-Shirt.
Room 1- Dedicated to the work of J-Dilla – Mr Thing (BBE / Extended Players), Spin Doctor (The Doctor’s Orders), Harry Love (Extended Players), Morgan Spacek, Kidkanevil, Kutmah, DJ LoK (Dilla breaks set) & very special surprise guests!
Room 2 hosted by Main Squeeze & Classic Material

Kid Koala hits London

Turntablist extraordinaire Kid Koala is hitting London this month.

The Canadian DJ, who has wowed crowds across the globe with his quick hand skills and ability to turn anything into a coherent tune, will be playing Koko on March 12th. He will be ably supported by DJ Vadim, a live set by Polar Bear and Mr Thing, which is set to be a stellar night.
