Bay Sixty 6 Skatepark’s transformation has started this week after a few days last week of intense demolition. Now that the pain of seeing it being chopped up has totally gone, we will now bring you photo and video updates from the rebuild that can be found in our constantly updated feature.
Today saw the first wooden structures arrive at the park with what looks to be large transitions that would usually be associated with a bowled corner. These have apparently been made in Amsterdam and shipped here to be bolted together as the park takes its new shape.
For more updates on the new lights, the vert hole being filled and more in photos, check out the feature from today’s visit.

After hearing so much about the annual jaunts to LA that the Crailtap crew attend from UK distributor Matt Anderson, we decided to cover their latest get together and bring you some of the goodness from behind the scenes.
Twice a year, everyone involved in the brands around the world meet together in one place, but being skater run it’s not your usual 9-5 power point presentations. Matt flew into LA to hook up with the team riders and hear plans for the much anticipated Girl/Chocolate video ‘Pretty Sweet’ that will be released in November.
Following sessions at Venice Beach and the Girl warehouse, a journey to Yosemite National Park followed for some hang time and to check out the upcoming products from Lakai, Girl, Chocolate, Royal and Fourstar. Follow the photos from their latest mission to Camp Whatevs.

This is what goes down in here:

Next week we will be sending Lakai some questions about how their shoes are made and covering the journey of how they end up on your feet. If you have any questions that you would like to ask, like the leave them here and join us on Facebook.
Wheelscape have announced this week that they will be taking care of the new skatepark at Meadow Lane in Oxford. Check out the proposed plans for the park below. There are, of course, tweaks and adjustments to be made and we’re taking all comments on board so please, take a look, share the plans around and let us know what you think.
We are down with the Tom Penny toad stalls!

This week’s funny skateboard gadget is the Stair Rover. Now get ready for this one as it’s definitely one of the funniest we have seen to date. It has 8 wheels, it’s made from aluminium and bamboo and it can apparently go down stairs.
No fire crackers here then.

Massive Happy Birthday to one of the UK’s most consistent rippers. Yep, we are talking about Crayon pro Dan Wileman who has been at pretty much every Crossfire event we have hosted and swapped Bristol’s streets to skate the sunswept ledges of Barcelona thesedays.
Happy Birthday from all of us here!
Ever had speed wobbles? Canadian Mischo Erban has probably had the lot, especially when clocking an incredible 80.74 mph on a public road. This feat that broke the world record by just over 10mph was accomplished on a downhill road called Les Eboulements in Quebec.
“I came to the hill thinking I would be scared but at the end it was just a game. I didn’t really even feel challenged.”
