Highbrow Campus Skatepark edit
Mike O’Shea filmed Phil Parker, Jason Lewer, Ian Devine and more at the Campus Skatepark in Bristol recently and popped it online today. Campus is Bristol’s only youth focused skateboarder owned indoor skatepark. Find out more at www.campus-skatepark.co.uk
Revolution Skatepark down in Kent are busy as usual. They are currently working on their third, full length video called “Our Time” which has a teaser you can see below. It features all the Revolution staff, pro’s, am’s and more. As an added bonus, their first video About Time is available for free on the web now. Watch this to see how far the park has come in the past 14 years.
With that in mind, a entirely new building has been erected where the outside ramp complex used to be. Locals on the South East coast will be skating it as soon as the street obstacles and mini ramps, that are currently being made in another warehouse, are laid for use. Well done to all behind the progress at Revolution, we will bring you the design and photos of the new layout when we get them through.
The Slam City Skates video premiere of City of Rats directed by Henry Edwards-Wood will be taking place early evening on Sunday 4th March at the Prince Charles cinema in London.

It’s Valentine’s Day as I type this and what more to my ears crave more than ever right now? A band that have the psychedelic charge of Hawkwind with the rawness of Black Sabbath. Combined, this could sound like a lot of bands but Los Angeles based Zig Zags have made the past and present clash with filthy panache on A-side track ‘Scavenger’, and just enough goodness for me to spread this love and bring it to you today.
This 7″ that is available in your local record store and for download today has a tale of two sides. The B-side ‘Wastin My Time’ is more reminiscent of the type of jam that you will find spread all over the tunes of Eddy Current Suppression Ring. Stripped back guitars and upbeats pushing a laid back Stooges style vocal that keeps driving you all the way home aurally.
This 3-piece band are meant to be pretty raw live, so get on this 7″ from Mexican Summer today and spread the love if you like it. There’s also a 5 track EP below here for free download an EP from their bandcamp if you want more.
