The legendary R-Cade Skatepark in Redcar is undergoing a complete re-build courtesy of Four One Four Skateparks right now. As you can see from these pics that have emerged this week, the bowl is about to get it’s first skin of ply and the rest of the park is coming along nicely.

It looks like the new Flo Skatepark in Nottingham is ready to be sessioned this Saturday with Element team riders present to open it officially. Have a look around courtesy of this video that has surfaced today.
A new short video featuring Skatopia’s Brewce Martin from the CIA (Citizens Instigating Anarchy) was posted overnight with details that the Skatopia Movie: “88 Acres Of Anarchy” will be hitting iTunes and Google Play this December.
We have no update on Brewce’s health following a serious injury back in the summer of 2009 from a tyre explosion but hope he is back on it and blasting concrete again.

Good to see that the creative work force at Maverick are back out there building parks. Their concept park that includes a skate-able boat at Sheringham Skatepark in Norfolk is finally being built this month. Check out the photos of The Strip. The video design may have changed since it’s original mock up two years back but you get the idea. It has taken a while but the Norfolk scene will have a park to skate this Xmas.

Those who are heading down to the Halloween Massacre skate jam next Saturday will be stoked to know that a public screening of the brand new Death Skateboards DVD, ‘Ordinary Madness‘ has been arranged and will now be aired on the big screen during the event.
The film premiered last week in Harrow and since then, the team have been on tour across the UK skating and screening the movie in its entirety. The new film is sick, with sections from newcomer Matt Pennington, Richie Jackson, Patrick Melcher, Rob Smith, Dan Cates, Boots and many more. As British skateboard history goes, The Level in Brighton has a few tales from the 33 years it has been in operation. From having a killer vert and mini to the shards of wood that are left to this very day, locals skaters of East Sussex have cherished every minute of this place but it’s time to say goodbye.
This Saturday 13th October is the very last session before the diggers come through there and rebuild the park with Freestyle Skateparks’ skills to erect the new concrete and take it into the future. The final design plans are still bouncing between council, Freestyle and the BHSA so expect work to be carried out in the new year if all goes to plan. Until then, if you want to see this spot off, this Saturday is your chance.
