This year’s fully sold out Crossfire Halloween Massacre boat party in London was a scorcher! Some serious efforts went into this one in terms of fancy dress with a selection of nautical treats arriving down the plank! Zombie Sailors, Pirates-a-plenty and even a bloke dressed as a BOAT were present. I’m amazed how he managed to get that huge wooden creation all the way to the Battersea Barge, which was not easy to find on the night.
The deadly rock duo that is made up from the DJ presence of Planet Rock’s Phoebe Winter and Total Rock ‘s Talita TwoShoes kicked the night off with a selection of classics before handing over the decks to Johnny Doom and Matt Stocks. The Kerrang! Radio duo had the dance floor rocking as fiends fell through the door, some of them already bitten by the cold weather, Thames rats and South London Vampire’s. The beats dropped like bombs from XFM Remix Show overlord, Eddy Temple Morris whose mash ups had the roof raised alongside the demonic DJ skills of Stereo:Type.
You came, we saw. Your outfits were sick. The boat was one huge mash-up! Joe Brady spent the night taking these amazing photo’s of you all. Enjoy them, share them and thanks for coming down if you were there.
Thanks to Paul Parker for his incredible artwork, Joe, Chloe, Nic, Holly and the Battersea Barge for their help on the night, and all of the DJ’s mentioned above for their amazing work on the decks.
The Facebook event page to invite guests is located here.
The infamous CROSSFIRE HALLOWEEN MASSACRE returns to London on Saturday 27th October with a frenzied skate jam during the day and a boat party at night for all fiends.
As this year marks 100 years of HMS Titanic going down, we invite you to shred the brand new BaySixty6 Skatepark with guest pro teams and then hail the high seas on the Thames for a nautical themed evening of Hip Hop, Rock, Breaks, Drum ‘n’ Bass and more aboard The Battersea Barge with guest DJ’s.

The Skate Jam at Bay Sixty 6 will be open to all from 12pm-5pm and will feature guest pro riders from Witchcraft, Creature (UK), Lovenskate, Kill City, Heroin and Death Skateboards. This year’s Massacre party in association with Front is now sold out. The party will be held on The Battersea Barge, Tideway Dock/Tideway Walk/Kirtling St, London, SW8 5PZ from 8pm until late. (3am ish)
We welcome special guest DJs Eddy Temple Morris (XFM Remix show), Stereotype, Johnny Doom & Matt Stocks (Kerrang! Radio), Talita Two Shoes (Total Rock), Phoebe Winter (Planet Rock). Expect a serious mash up of classic tunes to make this the best night out you will have this year.
Don’t forget that the best part of the night is that the clocks go back at 2am meaning you get an extra hour of partying!
The address of the boat is The Battersea Barge, Tideway Dock/Tideway Walk/Kirtling St, London, SW8 5PZ. For some, this boat can be hard to find, so look out for a small alleyway next to the Thames Water Company building on Nine Elms Lane (A3205). Walk down this alleyway and at the end of it, you will see the boat. It’s down the road to Battersea Dogs Home, so if we have any casualties to deal with amongst the Zombies that are on board, we will drop you off there at the end of the night.
On a serious note though, knowing that the boat is moored and not sailing, please be aware that your safety is our main concern and also in your own hands at this party. Crossfire will not take responsibility for your actions once you are on-board the Battersea Barge. When you arrive, the likelihood is that the boat will be beached, but by 1am, the tide is scheduled to rise and be 18 metres in depth. Yes, that’s extremely deep. It will also be freezing cold, windy and very dangerous, so look after yourself and your friends and we will all have a fantastic night out as usual.
When you reach the boat you will need to bring your ID to confirm your tickets. If your ticket is in someone else’s name, then make sure you have their full details and booking code as they will match the names on the list at the door. Our friendly security guys will greet you, please give them a hug as they are there for your safety. The boat takes all sorts of credit cards etc but note that there is no cash point on-board and none nearby so plan ahead.
Please note that there will be no tickets available on the door. but tickets may become available on the FB event page if people pull out. See you there!
It’s not often i’m on the receiving end of questions, it’s usually the other way round, but on this occassion due to the 10 Year Anniversary and Front being involved, yours truly decided to do an interview with Front Magazine ahead of this year’s Massacre. A slither of this Q&A session was published in the Magazine in October, but this week, the lads at Front have made the entire interview available online.
Visit the Front website to find out more about where your daily skate and music zine comes from plus a little more on some of the highlights of the last 10 years here.
Over the last 2 months Matthew Bromley has been beavering away in here contacting who we thought were the best 12 illustrators out there to produce a deadly, toxic, nuclear mutated sticker ahead of our TOXIC WASTERS skate sticker exhibition that will be held at our Halloween Massacre on October 28th.
In the end, invitations were sent out to Paul Parker, Mr Gauky, Kyle Platts, Sam Taylor, Matthew Bromley, French, Stu Smith, Fos, Craig Scott, Dan Singer, Paddy Jones and Tom Slater. All of them replied with excitement as who else has thrown a sticker exhibition in years? They make up one of the most important parts of skateboarding. Read our recent feature on skate stickers here for proof. The illustrations came back swiftly and Stu Smith at Lovenskate was waiting for them. Watch this video of how these stickers were printed and get hyped on the results.
Only 100 limited edition, collectors sticker packs have been made, all cut and made by hand. Visit our store to pick up an exclusive slice of skateboard sticker history now before they get snapped up, available now for pre-order at £10 (+postage) before Halloween on 31st October, or £15 (+postage) after Halloween.
Not only will you receive 12 limited Toxic stickers, but also 2 bonus x Vans stickers, 1 x Front Magazine sticker and a Crossfire in the packs!
Thanks to all of the artists involved and for your support in making this work!
Well, you are in for a treat this week as London based artist Mr. Gauky has allowed us into his studio to see what goes on behind the scenes of his incredible work.
Mr Gauky is the man behind the Battle Royal themed Superdead decks that are currently out right now and has become one of the most talked about artists in town this year. So, with this in mind, we decided to get the lowdown from the man himself as he is also one of the artists we have picked to be involved in our Toxic Wasters sticker art show at this year’s Halloween Massacre.
Watch this Day in the Life video that will give you a sneak peek at some of his drawings, illustrations and work in progress followed nicely with some dangerous rooftop coffee and cake time and a few pumps at his local cement hole- Cantelowes skatepark in Camden.
