Typical – I leave Reading after having lived there for four years, only to later discover that a burgeoning metal scene has formed in my absence. It probably won’t be long before Sylosis gain wider recognition, and then there’s Exit Ten; a young quintet who deal a fine trade in teeth-rattling riffs and epic choruses, in a Killswitch Engage vein.
What these guys may lack in originality, they make up for in sheer confidence, with songs like ‘Resume Ignore’ and ‘My Great Rebellion’ proving that the UK needn’t be shadowed by the States in terms of quality metalcore acts.
Following a couple of high-profile (and apparently successful) support slots with the Deftones, the band will play a handful of additional dates over the next month:
