New bowl in Clissold Park, Hackney for February

clissold park skatepark hackneyThe locals of Hackney and surrounding areas of London will will have a brand new skatepark on their doorsteps very soon. The park designed and built by Freestyle Skateparks is scheduled to be opened in Clissold Park, Hackney in February 2011 and looks like it’s going to be something quite special.

John Flood from Freestyle sent us these photos of the ongoing build this morning and said…”When you’re standing in the bowl it looks great. We used a different transition which, after looking at the first pour of concrete looks perfect! This bowl has big cupping transition for the hips, but tightening up at the top, the lines will work perfectly once it’s all completed.”

The park apparently be fitted with a table tennis table next to it – start dreaming of dry, warm weather and get hyped on London receiving another bowl finally.

Watch: Two Fresh Antiz Edits

Antiz have been very busy since returning from their Hobo Tour and welcoming Dallas Rockvam onto the team as their first US pro. Just this week they’ve knocked out two edits online full of rad wheel-pushing as standard from the boys.

Firstly there is a Hobo Erectus edit, which is a hot minute of concrete ripping and then another clip featuring a couple of days skating makeshift spots in warehouses and some street fun too. As always, it’s worth a watch. See below and grab the goods while they’re hot.

For a constant stream of goodness, be sure to follow Antiz filmer Paul Labadie’s ‘Hobo Erectus‘ blog on Soma.

As we previously reported Jett26 are hosting a Xmas sale full of skate brands this weekend in their warehouse in Bristol that included a bunch of fresh threads from King Apparel. We just received a pleasant email informing us that London is fully involved in the holiday discount business too, as East Gallery in Brick Lane hosts a King Apparel fronted warehouse sale that features footwear from Lakai, Vans, Etnies, DVS and more.

Peep the flyer for the details. The sale takes place on the weekend from December 9th to December 12th, just remember that the Crossfire Xmas Jam is on the 11th so save the shopping for the other two days!

Watch: Rayner’s X-Site Edit

Andy Rayner and a small roster of Notts rippers went to X-Site skatepark recently and returned with the kind of edit we’ve come to expect from Mr. Rayner, one that takes your average web surfer’s nonchalant approach to web edits and leaves them pleasantly stoked by the end of it.

Craig Smedley, Will Golding, Phil Long, Sam Mcateer, Doozer, Jason Pearson and Ollie Beeby all tear apart X-Site with some unexpected ledge bangers thrown in for good measure. Watch below.

Watch: Various London Heads in ‘Cheer Up’

If you don’t already subscribe to the Enjoiyourmeal Youtube Channel then you should get on that post-haste as it’s one of our favourites.

To round up 2010, Josh has chosen not to whack up one ‘Best of…’ edit but make a series of fun themed edits. The first, ‘Cheer Up‘ is a feel-good compilation of bails both gnarly and ridiculous with a couple of bangers thrown in for good measure.

Expect screw-face inducing arm flailers from the likes of Daryl Dominguez, Lucien Clark, Alex Lally, Brownie, Casper Brooker, Manny Lopez and many more. Watch below and get hyped on more to come… and of course, that front nose.
