Chocolate do Mount Baldy
Every year, we wait for this video to drop as it’s always one of the very best road trips out there.
Get stuck into footage of this year’s run with the Hoon Skateboards team and their mates as they roll from The Gold Coast to Newcastle in Australia and hit up every park in their way.
For many years now, the fashion phenomenon of Girl Skateboards pro Brandon Biebel has been a talking point at skateboard demos and on Twitter. Today though, the classic white t-shirt and baggy jeans look have been rumbled, as Evil Milk finally reveal the theory behind Biebel’s choice of large garments and incredible tech steez.
As expected, the results are shocking, revealing that Biebel actually packs a mini-me to hold those smooth-as-butter manual rolls. Find Brandon’s response over at Crailtap very soon.
Bristol’s skate scene was treated to Sidewalk’s In Progress video premiere on Friday night.
Watch a clip of what went down with some howling, Dad dancing and general drunkeness here from Rich Smith’s lens. Look out for the next batch of scheduled video premiere’s if you are near to MK and Brum.

Today’s news comes thanks to Matthew Weston down in Bournemouth. To give you a little background on Matt’s situation, he unfortunately had to have spinal fusion and is currently waiting for the bone to grow back before he can skate properly again.
Whilst at home in the wait, (and you can imagine how tedious that wait is right now) Matt has racked up a lowrider for fun and has told me today, that if you have a spare set up you don’t use, then you could do much worse than make one of these. The fact you can’t quite steer the thing just adds a little some thing to the mix too!
“I’m not sure if the fact that it’s lower to the floor or if it’s actually just been such a long time being on a board, but it feels bloody fast! I’ve not tried bombing any hills on this yet, but think I might find a crash test dummy like Danger Dave or one of the NPNG crew down at Kings Park for that!”
All of us here at Crossfire wish Matthew the very best for a speedy recovery.
Krooked Zig Zagger
The Krooked ‘cruiser’ boards have been around a few years now with three sizes. The Zip Zinger Nano 7.125″, The Zip Zinger 7.5″ and the Zig Zagger 8.6″. They come in many colour ways and alternative themed graphics ranging from classic bold colours to ice-creams, to galactic space backgrounds, oh and the board comes with stickers and a novelty Krooked card crown!
It’s the 8.6″ Zig Zagger that has got me excited though. Mostly at the thought of looking down at my feet riding this board in the street or at Stockwell skidding about pretending in my head that i’m Mark Gonzales! “But its just cruiser board!” I hear you cry. Don’t be mistaken. It has the same concave, wheel base and equal nose and tail as most standard popsicle boards. You will still be able to pop out all your nollie tricks regardless of the boards pointy nose but now with added style!
My personal point to make with this review is that skateboarding is fun. If your enthusiasm for skateboarding is running low I can’t recommend the Zig Zagger enough, take a chance and make it part of your next set up. If you’re still not convinced watch the man himself having fun on one.

Heroin goes Worldwide
Great news in from Heroin Skateboards this morning. Fos has announced that Heroin will now be distributed by Baker Boys Distribution in the USA. Congrats to all! In other news, the new Heroin video is still being tweaked for your viewing pleasure and Tom Day from Sleaford also joins the team. Marvellous stuff.
We love Steve Forstner. The Antiz pro gives everything everytime he skates as you will see from this latest trailer clip. Look out for him featuring in a new section for Gravis on the 25th October. You know it will be amazing.
