Epicly Palestine’d is a unique story about how skateboarding has developed completely from scratch along the West Bank despite being unable to purchase skateboards and being constantly confronted with the challenges offered by the military occupation. See how a scene can be built in the most unlikely of places and believe.

Tonight the 26th of August House of Vans London are hosting a special screening of the film as well as a Q&A with the film-makers which will be followed by a shred!

RAW Tapes: London 2006 Series – Episode 2

Raw footage filmed for the Static III video in London has been released in a second episode by Theories Josh Stewart overnight amounting to almost ten minutes of mayhem.

“After staring at a towering inferno of literally 21 external hard drives lining my desk in the TOA office and 15 drawers full of DV and hi-8 tapes, it hit me that there’s roughly 25 years of footage just growing stale in this office. A lot of it having never been seen or countless other angles and second, third and fourth makes that never saw the light of day. So, I opened up the filing cabinets last week and started logging footage. The first tape I pulled out was from the summer of 2006 when we spent 3 months in London to film for the Static III video. One of the most amazingly productive summers I’ve ever had filming. As I started to build out a timeline from just a few tapes I realized it wouldn’t be right unless I captured everything from the entire trip. So a 5 minute timeline quickly turned into a 25 minute feature length mess. So I figured instead of edit it all down it would be better to split it up into a 3 part series.”

Dig into some of these unused angles and unseen clips featuring; Pat Stiener, Nate Broussard, Tony Manfre and Olly Todd.

LLSB Propose Southbank Restoration

Today Long Live Southbank have released a 50 page document proposing that the full area of the Southbank undercroft be restored to it’s original design and vision of the architects.
This spot is of absolute paramount importance to the UK skate scene. Southbank has been a home to skaters from every imaginable background since 1973, making it not only one of the oldest skated places in the UK but in the world too.

Southbank supports the development of the young and is a centerpiece to our community, bringing all types together and feeding the creative, supplying opportunities that are rarely seen in any other place but can all be found in this hub. Sadly, in 2004/5 two thirds of the space was closed off for temporary storage. It has been closed since and the landowners have failed to fulfill their promise of reopening it.

LLSB has already saved the remaining third with over 150,000 signatures, the largest signed building permissions objection in British History. They now aim to restore Southbank to it’s former glory.
