Atlanta’s All the Saints came on our radar ahead of their mammoth debut album Fire on Corridor X through the Souterrain Transmissions label back in November 1998 and left a crater sized hole in the brains that were smart enough to listen.
We heard through the vine of grapes that the trio have recorded a new album to follow up this classic which will be released in 2011 (through ST again) and from listening to this album just once we can share the good news that they are back with yet another classic. We are unable to reveal the full details or even the album title but for now, chow down on this video for Sheffield and get hyped for another dose of psychedelic, stoner, shoe-gaze, wizardry from a band who need to be on your radar as of today.

Red Bull’sCulture Clash took place last week at London’s Roundhouse and was a barnstormer.
With four stages – Channel One [roots], Soul Jazz [anything they damn well pleased], Metalheadz [D&B] and Skream & Benga [dubstep] – loaded with riddims and bangers and a baying crowd in the middle of it all, a belting time was had by all. Whilst the live review is being written, check out this cheeky dub Shy FX dropped to sonically throw a middle finger to the Croydon dubsteppers using Benga’s own beat for Katy On A Mission. Ding ding, lights out!

Last night, Pixies played Teatro La Cupula in Santiago, their first-ever headlining show in Chile. Famously, it was the very same day that 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for more than two months were dramatically rescued. That led the band to play their longest show ever: 33 songs, one for each miner rescued.
In a press release, frontman Black Francis says, “We were so moved by this story, by how many lives had been affected by this, and how the Chilean people banded together to support what can only be described as a miracle. We wanted to do something to show how affected we were by this, so we played a special set at tonight’s show, 33 songs for the 33 miners, the longest set we’ve ever played as a band. We found out five minutes before we went on stage that all of the miners had safely reached the surface. This was definitely one of the most meaningful show we’ve ever played.”
Below, you can see the show’ssetlist and a video of Francis introducing the set in Spanish.
