The Thermals have announced their new album’s details.
The band will be joined again by Death Cab’s Chris Walla on production duties and the album will be called Personal Life. The record was recorded onto tape and will be mastered from tape to vinyl, meaning the vinyl version will have no digital mastering. Look out for the first song I Don’t Believe You in August.
Our favourite origami feline has dropped a track from his upcoming album.
Paper Tiger will be releasing his debut solo album Made Like Us on July 27th via Doomtree Records and to give you a taster of what’s to come, he’s put the track Palace, featuring crew mate Dessa on vocals, on Soundcloud.
Little bit of trivia on this one, the track is named after the football team he supports, one of the Crossfire family has definitely been at work recruiting people to his cause.
Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez Lopez and ex Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist John Frusciante have released a free album in order to raise money for the Keep Music in Schools charity.
The album ‘Sepulcros De Miel’, which means ‘Graves of Honey’, will be available to download on the artist’s website. It also features Mars Volta members Juan Alderete and Marcel Lopez. The album follows the increasingly popular ‘pay what you feel’ theme with a suggested donation that will go to the charity.
Click here to listen or download the album, which will also be available on vinyl later this year.
On July 10th Irish all Ireland wrestling champ and skater Al Collins will be hitting the tarmac on his deck to skate from Ireland’s most southerly tip, Mizen Head, to Ireland’s most northerly tip, Malin Head, all hopefully within the tight time-frame of 10 days!
This may sound like hell to some but Al is doing this for a very worthy cause- much like Pritchard, Leo and Dykie on the Elodie run, Al will be skating through the pain barrier for Muscular Dystrophy Ireland.
Visit the Blog set up to cover the journey and we will bring you news as it comes in. Please dig deep to raise money for this worthy cause and enjoy this clip that should explain it all.
