OTRO: The world’s first glow in the dark skatepark

Remember this post back in May of the French art project that was being built by Korean artist Koo Joeng-A? Well even if you missed it, Project Otro just took a new twist and has became the World’s first ever glow in the dark skatepark.

This has got to be one of the wildest achievements in skateboard history, not only for it’s bizarre Halloween-esque presence after dark, but with design and architecture that pushes the limits of what can be built and skated out there. It’s a simply delightful installation. Get a ticket that takes you to the edge of Lake Vassivière, like now.

Discovering Project Otro in France

A new skatepark is currently being built in Limousin, tucked away off the roads leading to southern France that should blow your mind today. Project OTRO is an art installation designed by the Korean artist Koo Joeng-A, ordered by the Museum of Modern Art and Landscape of Vassivière, and made to be skateable under the supervision of Brusk.

We have never seen curves quite like this before, take them in and add this to your list of travel destinations this summer. This follows last month’s 164ft mini ramp that opened in Bordeaux and the Zap Ados park that opened in Calais. Start planning that road trip to France this summer as this is just the tip of the iceberg of what is on offer in this wonderful country.
