New Crowns Video and Album News

Exciting folk/punk prospect Crowns have unveiled a new video for forthcoming single ‘Parting In The Porch’ which is out 29th October 2012. Vocalist / guitarist Bill Jefferson comments on the track:

“It’s a nostalgic letter to my younger self, remembering parties on the beach, chasing the girls. Really it’s about the realisation that you never actually lose that dangerous innocence.”

The single is taken from debut album ‘Stitches In The Flag’ set for release 5th November 2012. The 11 track record was recorded with Tim Goalen (Mark Ronson, Crowns EP) and Richard Woodcraft (The Vaccines, Arctic Monkeys). It’s set to highlight an already promising year for the Cornish band who racked up live performances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Bestival and a support slot with Blink 182 over the summer.

Crowns and Pheobe Winter join the Massacre line up!

The Crossfire Halloween Massacre is about to kick London’s arse on Friday night.

We are proud to tell you today that the bill has been expanded today with 2 new additions to the line up. Crowns will now be playing live in support to Cerebral Ballzy at 10.30pm. This new 4-piece band from Cornwall have a swagger in their step that could only fit a room full of drunken pirates. So get your pints at the ready as Crowns will be playing a 30 minute punk rock set in the Vans room as guests on the night and we cannot wait to see them play again.

Also added to the line up this week is Pheobe Winter from Planet Rock. Pheobe hosts the Metal Hammer show on Planet Rock radio will be tag teaming Talita Twoshoes in the Vans room and slamming in the rock and metal on the night. Get the last of the advance £10 tickets today as they are almost gone. There will be 100 on the door available for £15 from 9pm.

Mark Baines and Benny Fairfax launch Camp WeSC

Mark Baines and Benny Fairfax have launched Camp WeSC this week so if you fancy a week away from the parents this summer and would prefer to be coached how to skate with UK pro skaters, then this could well be for you. Camp WeSC will take place in August in Truro, Cornwall and can accomodate up to 60 people.

The cost for a 5 day camp is £380 which includes your accommodation, 3 meals a day and 24/7 supervision. Many of the Staff are CRB checked and all have many years experience of skateboarding. You will also get your mitts on the following:

1 Pair WeSC Headphones
1 WeSC T Shirt
