Death 54mm Wheels

Funny thing, wheels. Like most things, idiots assume that spending more money on them is going to automatically guarantee that they are better. Obviously this is why they are idiots. Its not about spending more money, I have had wheels that you’d need a mortgage to buy which have been utterly useless and on the other hand, I have had wheels that have been on the lower end of the price range that have been amazing.

Death Urethane fall consistently into the second category. Like everything else about Death, there are no fancy gimmicks, no air cores, no lightening core formula, no superduper 60% weight saving slimline profiles which is a good thing as theyre all horseshit anyway.

I was recently sent a set of the 54mm and was understandably stoked as I have been buying nothing but the 56mm for getting on two years now which means “physically going into a shop and paying for” not “asking for a set to review”. They really are that good. After skating a couple of months on the set in question theres no chips, no discolouring (which is a pretty good sign of the quality of the urethane) and hardly any flatspots. There is very little wear and tear and no coning despite regular skating. In short, theyre top notch.

Personally, I dont think you can find a better wheel at the moment and at half the price of some top brand American wheels you could save yourself a packet and support a truly legit British company. You do not need any more reasons to buy these. Get on it.
