New Silver signings

I’ll bet my extensive sticker collection (including an OG Rob Roskopp Pirate graphic!) that 2007 will see Lem Villemin and Alex Mizurov blowing the F up.

It’s no wonder US companies are taking a shine to the lads. Silver Trucks have just signed the pair, and Alex’s attendance at the Crossfire Christmas Jam should throw proof in the pudding.

Skate Aberdeen

Just because they’re up North, doesn’t mean they don’t keep busy.

Check out the Transition Extreme website for good interviews with all the best Scottish skaters (John Rattray, Div Adams, Colin Kennedy…), park reviews (Livi, Denburn Banks, Bridge of Don skatepark…) and more.

Pretty pictures

In case you haven’t guessed already, we at Crossfire are pretty stoked on a skate crew/company that goes by the name of Casual.

Well, along with having some good stock and sick tricks to boot, the Casual boys are also thumbs up on the media front re: photos. Check out homies Benjamin Hay and Mr. Melk ‘s [see photo] new photo sites for proof.

Crossfire goes Dutch!

Ever wanted to know what Caught In The Crossfire is in Dutch? Well wonder no more, as we can exclusively reveal that it is, in fact, gevangen in een vuurgevecht!

This is just one of the many gems that came from an interview with hip hop group C-Mon and Kypski, as they were recently interviewed by Abjekt.

The interview, which covers music, North African dress codes and C-Mon’s blinging skate injury, will be up next week, along with a track from their new album Where The Wild Things Are, in the buzz chart. Also see how their album went down at Crossfire in the upcoming Mix!

Heavy Shit

Heavy Shit November 2006

It’s fucking freezing here in London as this is typed, as cold as a morgue. DJ’s Zac Slack and James Sherry are hibernating at HQ operating on new radio shows to keep warm whilst you are tucked up in your home or work with the heating blasts.

As the huddle continues, so does the metal reign from the skies and into your filthy lugholes. This show has everything you need to fix your metal habits. Get in there and slay your soul by clicking the flag above or podcast them from our feeds section.

If you want to request tunes for the next show or simply just slag it off, go here.

Jay Adams photos

Before Jim Greco, Lizard King or Ragdoll, the OG skateboard punk was Jay Adams.

One of the key members to the Dog Town crew who pioneered modern skateboarding, Jay has suffered the harder side of life more often than most. To get a good look into Jay’s earlier years, we suggest the new book of photos, Jay Boy, taken by Jay’s stepfather Kent Sherwood.

For a brief glimpse of the amazing shots click here and to order a copy, visit www.tailtap.com

Cheers to Bryce K. at Skate Daily for the heads up.

Britney pervs – Listen up!

Rumours that Britney was to give away copies of her and K-Fed’s sex tape in order to stop him getting money from it have been squashed by Fed’s lawyer who says there is no such tape.

The lawyer said: “While this is endemic of countless false and inaccurate stories that have made their way into the media regarding Kevin, his marriage to Britney, and the divorce proceedings which they are presently going through, I want to put this issue to rest once and for all.

There is not a sex video of Kevin and Britney in existence. It goes without saying that the stories of Kevin attempting to sell such a video are patently false and anyone who reports that they have information of such attempts is either lying or reporting the lie of someone else”.

Fuck knows what all that means, but that sentence lasted longer than Federline’s rap career did.
