King of post shoegaze guitar haze, Kurt Vile has announced a brand new album for September 25th. B’lieve i’m goin down is set to follow 2013’s masterpiece Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze with gusto as first cut, ‘Pretty Pimpin’, see’s Vile pick up an acoustic to peddle his familiar, dazed guitar across five blissed-out minutes.

New bowl incoming at Camp Hillcrest

Work is well underway at Camp Hillcrest to complete a bowl for those who like to camp in the woods, skate and enjoy rural and urban education. Looks like Brighton’s concrete master Nick Smith is behind the build that should be skateable soon.

This crowd funded operation is based on the edge of the Forest of Dean in the amazing Wye Valley and boasts wood craft, forest school, skateboarding, climbing, music, street art and traditional arts & crafts inside their uniquely built centre.

Iain Borden speaks on saving Southbank

Professor Iain Borden who was involved in the plans to relocate the current Southbank spot to Hungerford Bridge has spoken to the Fakie Hill Bomb blog looking back on a period of time that must have been rather stressful.

Iain discusses what concerns him about Southbank’s long term future, the use of public spaces, architecture and tolerance to promote skateboarding in a strong light.
