Caught in the Crossfire

“Sad news for Ryan Adams fans. The prolific alt country hero announced he is stepping down from music to concentrate on writing.

Adams broke the news via his blog explaining his reasons, ranting a little about how sick he is of the media circus surrounding his career and reassuring fans that he will pay again eventually.

He explained that he is suffering from Ménière’s disease, a debilitating inner ear condition, the symptoms of which include vertigo, severe nausea, vomiting and sweating. Coupled with Adams’ long standing stage fright, it’s clear to see why he’s taking it down a notch. With an exhaustive touring schedule in the last few years supporting the seemingly endless number of records he’s released he’s certainly earnt himself a little ‘me’ time.

In his own words “I just loved music so much man, I always will and that is all. I’m done now. Thank you whoever you were. I did all this work so I would not feel so lonely and I made it for you, whoever you are…”
The Cardinals will play their remaining US tour dates before their hiatus.
