Destructo Trucks continue their European invasion today by adding Emerica rider Eniz Fazliov to their growing international team.

Eniz has been a guest at the Crossfire Xmas Jam and last came to the UK for the Wild in the Streets event this year, watch it below and click here to win Destructo Trucks this month.

Back in my schooldays Euro Trash was the kind of filth we talked about during lunch on the playground. This was before the internet made tits and arse easy-viewing and some tacky bits of tail on Channel 4 was a great deal more exciting that the Clarks Bootleg shoes on our feet. Now, we live in a much more mature world where filth can be saved for private evenings online and the talk of the streets is instead what’s on our feet. And in some sort of ying yang twist, what we’re talking about at lunch here is still Euro Trash, just this one is a little bit more tasteful.
The DVSCoen model has been remixed by the illustrious Mark Baines, whose colourway is smart, simple and carries a lot more visual appeal than those that featured in the garish sets of TV shows long gone. Foolishly, I was under the impression that by wearing these shoes I would instantly be able to do nollie frontside heelflips just like Mr. Baines. But magic is obviously just a childhood dream inspired by the sleazy French presenter’s promise of nipples and bums. I wasn’t too put off. What we actually want, are solid shoes, worthy of our cash money. The Coen is such a shoe. It’s not too bulky, it boasts a sweet navy suede upper, it lasts a lot longer than the trendy vulcs that normally hang off my feet and it’s just straight up reliable.
So save the filth for online. Get these kicks on and go skating outside you trashy euro bastards.
Dick Bastardly
Watch Baines do nollie frontside heels and more better than you can below in his part from the Euro segment of DVS’ ‘Dudes, Dudes, Dudes‘.
The third annual VansUKSA National Championships returns to Adrenaline Alley in Corby on the 23rd and 24th October for all you could possibly want and more for UK skateboarding carnage.
Saturday’s schedule will concern vert and street qualifiers and a Maverick bowl jam to conclude the day. There will be an official after party featuring Basildon’s own Kunt and the Gang! The competitors would be wise to drink responsibly as the finals will be on the Sunday alongside a girls comp and Mob Grip best trick jam.
Tickets cost just £10 a day or £16 for the entire weekend. So now you just have to get that time off and find enough cash to get yourselves down to Corby! Further information is available below…
Unless you found yourselves under a rock over the weekend you probably heard the result of the Battle Of The Berrics 3 championship battle between PJ Ladd and Paul Rodriguez.
Either way, you can watch the final below. If you can explain how these levels of consistency are possible then please post answers on a postcard addressed to every other skateboarder in the world. I’m sure they’d like to know.
We all know that the early bird catches the worm and for us more mature skaters the lure of skating your local park alone without the barrage of kids on scooters is tempting. Right now you are more likely to witness a session at your local park as the sun rises more than ever before. The more people we speak to around the country, the more this comes up in conversation. I guess it’s just the done thing when you get older, whatever it takes for a peaceful line goes and if it means that the alarm clock becomes part of the session, then so be it.
Our good friends Adam Johns and Martyn Thomas are just 2 of the early birds that are out there getting some at Brixton Beach whilst you are snoozing, enjoy this HD edit from their latest 6:40am session in South London.
British skate filmer, Neil Chester, has posted up a video featuring a ton of wonderfully shot HD footage gathered over the last couple of years. It’s at once gorgeous and more compelling than any other HD edit you’d have seen this year.
The edit features Silas Baxter-Neal, John Tanner, Danny Brady, Nick Jensen, Lucien Clark, Kurt Winter, Gunez Ozdogan and more.
