Our mates over at Xynthetic have been busy bunnies. They’ve just decided they’re going to be putting out some podcasts, and their first one has gone live, featuring head honcho Gav with the Xyn filmer Jonny Clooney, talking crap and playing some choice hip hop.

In addition to this, Gav and Mr Jago have started to make boards again which you can check out here, in preparation for the Rebelo:06 exhibition in Newcastle.

Altamont Halloween launch
Andrew Reynolds is one of skateboarding’s finest, so when he decided to create a clothing line, Altamont, it came as no surprise to see that his gear was good. Teamed up with Fos on the pens and Bryan Herman on the planks, Altamont is set for a bright future.
It has been revealed that Andrew sets to release a limited edition, hand numbered Holiday collection on 31st October, in other words Halloween. Tricks and treats, eh?

Habitat Europe
Check the comparison!
Whilst most skate companies keep it conform, simple and mass produced like Ikea, elsewhere you can find a more refined skate company that proposes style, function and innovative design above sheer numbers. Habitat, like its interior design counterpart, is that company.
And now they are branching out across the oceans to launch Habitat Europe. The team consists of Mike McDernott for Canada, Petr Horvat (c.f. picture Switch BS tailslide c/o Freeman.wz.cz) for Poland, Gunez Ozdogen for Sweden, Adrian Morales for Spain and Manuel Margreitter for Austria.
Scotty wins Globe Bowlbash!
The Globe Bowlbash at Area 51 Skatepark in Eindhoven, Holland went down in flames this weekend which saw UK rider Andy Scott pull off some incredible skating to bag 1st place.
The relocation of this brand new skate park was successful and the Dutch have built one of the best indoor skate parks in Europe that most Brits would love to have on their doorstep.
The comp itself organised by Globe shoes was electric with 5 skaters making the finals after a long weekend of sessioning the infamous Area 51 Bowl.
Globe rider Andy Scott edged it with inverts, 360 transfers, kickflip indys in the deep, tailslides, maydays and much more to come in first.
It was a close call though as the finals produced some of the best bowl skating Europe has to offer accompanied by some amazing tunes from DJ Roy Licher….expect a full photo feature on this site this week.
Results:
1. Andy Scott, UK
2. Ivan Rivado Alvarez, ES
3. Alain Goikoetxea, ES
4. John Magnusson, SE
5. Anders Tellen, DE
Sheckler doubles the Dew
Does Ryan Sheckler stock exist on the market? In it did, anyone who bought shares in the Kickflip Kid a few years ago is laughing all the way to the bank right now!
Ryan came out overall winner of the 2006 Dew Action Sports Tour making that two consecutive wins in this major event. Ryan nudged Jereme Rogers off the top spot despite Jereme actually winning the last contest of the circuit.
Duffs Damage
Mark Munson called HQ to let us know what’s up and who’s down with the UK Duffs team.
For starters, a bag of frozen peas and a chill pill are in order for the man himself (Mark) who wrecked his ankle on the 3rd day of a 3 week trip through Oregon, USA. Bummer! Mark left the shredding duties up to his travel companions Marc Churchill, Carl Wilson and Ross McGouran.
Also chilling stateside is Nic Zorlac with Olly Tyreman and Ben Raemers under his dark wing as they visit the Consolidated camp. Hopefully ben can skate considering he bust his back recently…
Finally, Adam Howe is getting more tats, Paul Silvester is getting ready for a cold winter up north, Harry is busy working on the imminent Unabomber DVD, and Matthias Nylen just got back to Sweden after skating at the Globe Bowlbash in Einhoven last weekend.
Oh! And let’s not forget that Carl and Olly are both getting dressed thanks to Innes clothing!
