Every year the Volcom mini ramp comp at the ISPO trade show in Germany goes off in fine style but this year it seemed to be pushed that little further thanks to the invasion of Brits on the Piss!
Our best mini ramp riders headed to Europe including Raemers, McGauran, Churchill and Nowik but Josh ‘Manhead” Young took home €300 with a caballerial nosegrind for Best Trick and Death’s Andy Scott took 2nd place in the overall comp. Alain Goikoetxea took first and Guillaume Mocquin taking 3rd.

Travis Barker’s solo album details
Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has announced that Slipknot’s Corey Taylor will join the list of guests for his forthcoming solo project.
Taylor joins an eclectic group of previously announced musicians including stars from rock and punk, as well as Lil Wayne, RZA and The Game.
Barker explained in an interview with Spinner.com, “I just love music so with my album it’s not one genre,” adding “It goes from everything from punk rock to hip-hop, to some electro stuff on there, to a metal song with Corey Taylor from Slipknot”
Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith have been confirmed as the final headliners for this year’s Download festival.
The bands will join Friday’s headliners AC/DC, as well as a host of other confirmed bands including Stone Sour, Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures and Motorhead.
The festival takes place at Donington Park between June 11th and 13th.

Brother Ali announces UK tour
Brother Ali has announced the dates of his first ever UK headline tour.
The MC, who previously toured as support and hypeman for Atmosphere as well as headlining a one-off show in London last year, will play six shows around the country in support of last year’s Us album. It’s going to be a freaking party, so get on it:

Skateboarding has been painted as a punk sport, a rowdy, negative past-time for many centuries but a new report published recently in the Journal of Adolescent Research contains information that us skaters are very aware of but is now new to the figureheads who have conducted the report on the stereotypical activities of skateboarders. Listen to locals from Southbank below from an recent article on the BBC World Service site this week where their findings discover that skateboarding ‘helps boys socialise’, which of course is very true.
