Journal of Adolescent Research reports that Skateboarding ‘helps boys socialise’

Skateboarding has been painted as a punk sport, a rowdy, negative past-time for many centuries but a new report published recently in the Journal of Adolescent Research contains information that us skaters are very aware of but is now new to the figureheads who have conducted the report on the stereotypical activities of skateboarders. Listen to locals from Southbank below from an recent article on the BBC World Service site this week where their findings discover that skateboarding ‘helps boys socialise’, which of course is very true.
