Canada’s Arcade Fire have announced that their second album, Neon Bible, will be released on March 5th, the day their tour kicks off in Dublin. Tickets go on sale this Friday [12th] at 9am. The gigs are:

Jeff Turner, frontman of Cockney Rejects, has challenged Donny Tourette of Towers Of London fame [well, maybe fame isn’t the best word] to a fight. The band,who refer to his band as the Showers Of London have said on their official site:
“Now they pop up everywhere claiming to be the ‘new’ Cockney Rejects, even though tough hardman Donny Tourette was so tough and so hard that he ended up leggin’ it over the wall after failing to go two rounds with Jade and her mum in the ‘Big Brother’ house. G&R Records are prepared to sponsor a bout between Donny Tourette and Mr Turner at West Ham Boxing Club to raise money for charity (the St. John’s Ambulance being the obvious choice, as they will have the job of scraping him off the floor when it’s over)”.
News is filtering through that NOFX will be making a documentary of their upcoming tour which will see the band play in Israel, South Africa, Russia and Taiwan. Fat Mike said:
“2007 for NOFX is playing countries we’ve never been to, we are planning on playing Taiwan, we got permission to play Beijing and we’re doing Russia, Israel and South Africa. We’re bringing a film crew and we’re actually making some kind of documentary about all the weird places we’re going to.”

Wolfmother have begun work on their second album, and whilst they’ve yet to enter the studio, they have announced the name of a new track – Love Attacker. Singer Andrew Stockdale said of the new record:
“We do have a lot of jams, like incoherent pieces of music, that at least could get the ball rolling. And I have a few ideas I’ve been working on in hotels and stuff, which is kind of the way half the record was written last time. Sometimes it can be a long process and sometimes it can happen really quickly.”
Kaiser Chiefs have announced their second album will be called Yours Truly, The Angry Mob and is due for release on February 26th, with the effort being produced by Stephen Street. The tracklisting is:

Dita Von Teese has filed for divorce from Marilyn Manson only a year after the couple married. The papers were filed at the back end of 2006 in LA and Dita, whose real name is Heather Sweet, claims “irreconcilable differences” are the reason for the split and she is not seeking spousal support from Manson.
Fatboy Slim has that after his beach party that brought in the New Year, he’s going to be spending most of this year doing nothing. However, he will be spending some time with Danny Elfman working on the music for a new animated Disney film. He said:
“It’ll be a quiet one for Fatboy this year. It feels right that, after 10 years and so many albums, we should give it a rest for a while. But I’m doing a project with Danny Elfman for a Disney film, which I can’t say too much about”.
The Kaiser Chiefs are back with a new single, Ruby, on February 19th and then a release from their as yet untitled second album. Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow [Tuesday] and will no doubt fly out quicker than Britney’s next marriage. The dates are:
