Chali 2na goes solo

Chali 2na will be releasing a solo album following the split of Jurassic 5.

When the group split earlier this year, Soup of the group said “Some people here want their own shrine, their own thing. If that’s what you want, I say more power to you. I hope it works out for you – just don’t come up with lame excuses” and it now seems as though he could have aimed that at Chali 2na.

The album, Fish Outta Water, has been started with Commin Thru up on his myspace already. In related news, Cut Chemist has also been working a new album.

Rolling Stone hates hip hop

Keith Richards has said that he hates hip hop.

The Stones’ guitarist stated that he didn’t like the vocal delivery or the fact that it uses computer aided beats. He said that the genre leaves him cold, saying “I don’t wanna be yelled at, I wanna be sung to…As I say, it don’t grab me. I mean the rhythms are boring – they’re all done on computers.”
