Sims releases free EP

Sims has released a free EP called Wildlife for all to share.

The Doomtree rapper, who released his Lazerbeak produced album Bad Time Zoo earlier this year, recorded the five songs between 2009 and 2010 and has asked all fans to share the link around as much as possible, adding that if they do it on twitter, they should add the hashtag #wildlife.

New Yelawolf video drops

Yelawolf has dropped a new video.

The Alabama rapper, who releases his new album Radioactive in October, has teamed up with Ubisoft, who make the Driver computer game.

Mixing in Yela with footage from the game, the track No Hands bumps hard and we’re big fans here at Crossfire already.

Tyler the Creator wins Best New Artist at VMA’s

tyler-the-creatorOdd Future’s rapper Tyler the Creator turned up on stage at Reading Festival on a pink girls bike this weekend with fellow band mates, made a few thousand middle class, white teenagers who were out celebrating their private school GCSE results think they were gangsters for 45 mins and left the stage stoked with their performance without their clothes after stagediving.

Today though, OFWGKTA’s front man celebrates winning the Best New Artist award at the VMA’s in the US. In classic style Tyler slammed Bruno Mars once again by saying: “He put on a good performance, but I still hate that dude’s fucking music.

The Evens plan new tracks

Ian MacKaye and Amy Farina are planning to hit the studio again.

Though there are very few details, the two, who together make up The Evens, have announced they are going to Inner Ear Studios to record a new single. Their last release was Get Evens in 2006, so it’ll be interesting to see what comes out after the five year hiatus.

New La Dispute track

La Dispute have posted a new track online.

The song, Harder Harmonies, is taken from their upcoming album Wildlife which is released on October 4th via No Sleep Records. It will be their first album since 2008’s Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair.
