Nihal wants you to bell him!

Nihal Arthanyake is to take over the mid-morning phone-in show on the BBC’s Asian Network.

Crossfire’s good mate Nihal, who already co-presents a weekly Asian music show on Radio 1, also presents the Asian Network’s weekly football show.

On his new job, he said:

“People know me primarily as a music person but I take great interest in issues that affect the Asian community in the 21st century. The phone-in really gets under the skin of what British Asians are thinking and how that affects what it’s like to live in Britain for everybody”.

Z-Ed says “Good on him for his positive attitude …but unfortunately he is still a Tottenham supporter underneath it all! Expect the Asian Gooner Collective to be spending a fortune on phone bills!”

Busta Rhymes considers assault plea

Busta Rhymes is mulling over a guilty plea to save getting prison time.

Rapper Busta has already rejected an offer of six months in prison on two assault charges, but is currently thinking over a guilty plea for a lesser charge that will mean having to serve no time.

He was offered a plea of third-degree assault by the judge which means he’d get off of jail time in exchange for community service and anger management classes.

He is accused of beating his former driver over back pay and another charge against a fan who spat on his car.
