The Flaming Lips will headline Camp Bestival event.
The event, which takes places over the weekend of July 18th-20th 2008 will take place at Lulworth Castle in Dorset. Chuck Berry will be another headliner for the event which will also feature Billy Bragg, Scroobius Tit [sorry, Pip] and The Cuban Brothers.
The Futureheads set to play a Student Union tour in early 2008.

Def Jux rapper Cage is to have a film made about his life.
The former Smut Peddler, who signed to El-P’s label and released Hell’s Winter, will reportedly be portrayed by Shia LaBeouf. The actor said spoke of his take on the role, looking at Robert De Niro’s style:
“It’s kind of like how no matter what film De Niro was making, he was always ready to pull Raging Bull out of his back pocket. Cage is my Jake LaMotta.”
Meanwhile, Cage is currently at work on a new album, Depart From Me, which features Cage delving into more of a hard-rock sound.
Aesop Rock will hit London in January.

Ugly Duckling are in the studio working on their new album.
In a MySpace update, the group said that Andy Cooper and DJ Einstein were busy working on the beats for “12 hours a day” with Dizzy spending time with his wife who is pregnant. However, the update also said:
“No need to worry, dizzy is still writing and cant wait to lace these tracks with his lyrics”

Jemina Pearl of the group said the record, Get Awkward, was them trying to concentrate on writing better songs and not worry about their second album not sucking. The band have apparently used influences of surf-rock and girl-group sounds to their arsenal.

Klaxons will be changing direction for their second album.
The band have said that one of the songs on the album has very strong prog influences and might be a taster of the direction for the rest of the record.
Guitarist Simon Taylor went on to say the band had been listening to “a lot of European prog music and dubstep and dance and folk.”
