Cyne put free online EP out
Cyne have put out a free online EP.
The group, who are busy mastering their upcoming album Pretty Dark Things for release in February, have wanted to show a “small token” of their appreciation by putting an online EP up for free download.
The EP includes 4 tracks with their respective instrumentals and features collaborations with Asshole Parade, nice!

Converge man starts new band
Converge’s Jacob Bannon has formed a new band.
Irons also features artist Stephen Kasner and Integrity’s Dwid Hellion and are currently writing for a future release on Deathwise in 2008. The band are described as a: “collaborative effort [to] create apocalyptic, non-linear music from a primal fine art based mindset.”

Radiohead to close free download
Radiohead are to stop their free download next week.
The band’s In Rainbows album, which was put online with an option to pay, is set to be brought down on December 10th. In a statement on their site, the band said:
“For those of you who wish to buy ‘In Rainbows’ in the usual way, it will be available on CD/Vinyl and download from traditional outlets from the 31st December 2007. Thanks for everything.”

Brighton ban Buju
Brighton council have outlawed music inciting hatred towards minorities in pubs and clubs.
This comes in the wake of last year’s cancellation of a Buju Banton concert whose song Boom Bye Bye promotes the killing of homosexuals. Councillor Dee Simson, chairwoman of the council’s licensing committee, said:
“It will be used in really extreme cases to stop the playing of what’s loosely termed murder music…”We have a large gay and lesbian community in Brighton and Hove and we want to protect people from facing such hatred. “I’m a firm believer in freedom of speech but I’m against the incitement of hatred against minorities.”

Green Day back in studio
Green Day are about to enter the studio.
The band will head there in January to work on the follow up to their hugely popular album American Idiot.
The band stated this year that they have 45 songs for the album so it looks like they have a lot of whittling to do. Their manager said that though they were hitting the studio, there is no planned release date as yet.

Dead Meadow to release new album
Dead Meadow will release their new album next year.
5th studio album Old Growth will see the light of day on February 4th and was recorded by the band in a haunted farmhouse in Indiana. The band will also tour the UK next year to support the album, the tracklist for which is:

Allen blanks Ronson
Lily Allen is blanking Mark Ronson.
The producer, who worked on her debut album Alright, Still, has said that Allen has been working on her new album but he isn’t likely to be on it as she hasn’t returned his calls. He went on to say:
“Most of the people I work with, I’m lucky enough to be friends with too. But then you never really know what’s going to happen after.”

UK hip hop producer Ghost is set to release a new single in 2008.

The follow up to last year’s St. Elsewhere is being worked on right now and is set for a spring release. Producer Danger Mouse recently said of the album:
