The Jam reunite?
A new incarnation of The Jam are set to release a new album this year.
From The Jam, which consists of original members Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler, along with David Moore and Russell Hastings, will release a live DVD of a show they performed in London last year, this April. Foxton added:
“There will be new material, [but] it probably won’t see the light of day until the end of this year…We’ve got a few good ideas kicking around. We’ll see what we come up with. We don’t want to rush it. There’s no pressure from a record label or anybody. It’s a great position to be in.”
Void drummer dies
Sean Finnegan of Void has died.
The drummer passed away on January 30th from an apparent heart attack. Finnegan played with the band from 1980 to 1983 and was recently working on the set of TV show The Wire. RIP from all at Crossfire.
Morrissey’s shows can’t be rescheduled
Morrissey‘s 3 postponed nights at the Roundhouse won’t be rescheduled.
Both the promoters and the man himself tried to get the three dates put on at another time but it proved impossible. Ticket holders for the abandoned show on the 25th will be automatically refunded to their credit and debit cards. Those with tickets for the shows on the 26th and 27th should return their unused tickets to point of purchase for a refund. Season tickets holders will receive a 50% refund of the cost of the six day ticket to reflect the three missing shows.

Dead Meadow hit the UK in March
Dead Meadow will be heading out on the road for a 3 month tour.
The tour will see them supporting their new album, Old Growth, in the States before heading out to Europe and playing the following dates in the UK in March:

This Is Hell tour UK
This Is Hell have announced a UK tour.
They will be supported by UK hardcore group Dead Swans, and will be showcasing material for their next full length Misfortunes which is out on February 19th. The dates are at the Barflys of the following towns:

Jay Z to headline Glastonbury
Jay Z is set to headline Glastonbury.
The New Yorker has been confirmed by organiser Michael Eavis who said he wanted to make a break with tradition, putting on something totally different:
“He will appeal to the young people and under-25s for sure, so that’s a big pull for them. It’s not like the traditional one we do, like Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse and Oasis.”
Tickets go on sale on April 6th and fans must register to be in with a chance of getting one, due to the festival’s anti-touting measures.
Refused tribute planned
A tribute to Refused is being lined up.
No Sleep Records are putting it together and are currently lining up artists for the project which will be released either late this year or early next year. The label’s statement read:
“No Sleep records is proud to announce an upcoming tribute album to perhaps the most important and truly gifted bands of our time (if you feel otherwise, feel free to stop breathing immediately), Refused. Rather be.. A Tribute to Refused will feature bands of various genres, hoping to create great renditions of already amazing songs.

MSI to release new single
Mindless Self Indulgence will release a digital single soon.
Mastermind will come out on February 12th and comes from their new album called If which will hit the shelves on April 29th.
