Las Vegas’s The Higher will finally make it over to the UK as main support to Elliot Minor in April 2008. This will be the bands first time on UK soil which will take them on an 8 day tour ending at the London Astoria.

Originally formed in Las Vegas back in 2002, The Higher released their sophomore album and debut for Epitaph records, ‘On Fire’ (Mike Green-Paramore, The Matches) earlier this year.

Sub Pop veterans Greg Dulli (Afghan Whigs) and Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) return to the label in its 20th year under the moniker The Gutter Twins for the March 3rd worldwide release of Saturnalia, their highly anticipated first album.

The first chance that fans will have to hear tracks from Saturnalia will be at a handful of very special US and European show dates which preview the complex and carefully crafted songs in advance of the official record release.

To follow the release, The Gutter Twins have added four more UK shows in April, in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

Two rappers have been involved with the law lately.

Busta Rhymes escaped a prison sentence after assaulting his former driver and a fan in separate incidents. Rhymes was given 3 years probation and community service after having rejected a deal of 2 years in prison and a $500 fine.

The other rapper in trouble is Lil’ Wayne who was arrested for drug-related charges. He was found in possession of “dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics.”
