Download Festival has announced its headliners for this year.
The Offspring will be jonied by Kiss and Lostprophets are the headliners over the June weekend with other bands on the bill including Judas Priest, HIM, Rise Against and Motorhead. The festival takes place from June 13th to 15th at Donington Park in Leicestershire.
The Offspring have been hard at work on the follow up to 2003’s Splinter.
The Loved Ones are back!
The Philadelphia band’s second release is called Build & Burn and was produced by Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Keinlen from the Bouncing Souls and features appearences from the Hold Steady’s Franz Nicolay and Tad Kubler.

Snoop is allowed back in the UK.
The rapper had been denied entry to the UK last year, prompting gig cancellations after he had been cautioned in 2006 on suspicion of affray after being arrested at Heathrow. Speaking on CNN, Snoop said that the judge had found him innocent and he was able to go back, adding:
“So everybody in the UK, big Snoop Dogg will be back to come give you all what you want!”

The White Stripes are being sued over a sample.
The band are being taken to court for $70,000 for sampling a Canadian radio show 8 years ago. Radio host Dominique Payette has said that the 10 second clip from her show was used without permission on their 2nd album De Stijl. Watch this space…
Public Enemy will be performing It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back in its entirety on 3 live dates in the UK.
The band will play the album in Brixton, Manchester and Glasgow in May with support from Kool Keith, Anti-Pop Consortium and Edan. The full dates are:
