Halloween is fast approaching and events are being planned across the country. Through a goat, Dainton and his Killcity massive have called for a bowl jam in Newport skatepark in association with Shred Wales.
It’s likely to consist of traditionally messy skateboarding and boozing long into the night with the boyos. So Welsh heads get yourself down. There will be prizes for the best line, best trick on the vert wall, longest grind and longest beer staff. Listen to the goat and go.
Hot off the press! The Kr3w team will be hitting our shores later this month for some in-store signings. Ali Boulala, Tom Penny, Lizard King and Horsey will be appearing at Welcome, Ideal and Slam as well as various European locations.
There are no official demos due to injuries but the team will probably doing some skating here and there. Keep your peeled open for updates.

On October 27th, Stanground Skatepark will be given an official opening jam courtesy of the Maverick crew.
The day kicks off at 12:30pm and will consist of all the usual comps, music, jams and prizes to be won kind of malarkey. So Peterborough heads stand up and get down!

Science’s Sam Taylor will be premiering his fifth Earth Pain edit at Elephant and Castle’s Corsica Studios on October 14th (Thursday).

The third annual Vans UKSA National Championships returns to Adrenaline Alley in Corby on the 23rd and 24th October for all you could possibly want and more for UK skateboarding carnage.
Saturday’s schedule will concern vert and street qualifiers and a Maverick bowl jam to conclude the day. There will be an official after party featuring Basildon’s own Kunt and the Gang! The competitors would be wise to drink responsibly as the finals will be on the Sunday alongside a girls comp and Mob Grip best trick jam.
Tickets cost just £10 a day or £16 for the entire weekend. So now you just have to get that time off and find enough cash to get yourselves down to Corby! Further information is available below…
On October 29th, one of the biggest, most infamous street spots in the UK, the Milton Keynes Bus Station will be hosting the Buszy Jam for a day of various best trick jams and even a photography comp! Rad.

Some of you may already be aware but for those who haven’t been informed, Pioneer Skatepark has been issued a draft closing order which will take effect on April 23rd 2011, causing one of the best, most progressive and community-thinking skateparks in the UK to be replaced by a Youth Connexions centre with no intention of keeping the skatepark.
On October 4th, the good folk of Pioneer are asking you to show your support and to save Pioneer from the threat of closure. The local BBC will be in attendance so this is the perfect opportunity to let your voices heard and keep this wonderful skatepark.

The UK arm of the Nike SB team are set to embark upon what could arguably be described as the last Summer tour of the year. In the last week of September Korahn Gayle, Chris Jones, Neil Smith, Joey Pressey, Snowy, Colin Kennedy, David Mackey, Tom Harrison, Mike Wright and Jerome Campbell will be hitting up the skate parks listed on the flyer below.
So make note of the date the crew will be hitting your local area and get involved. Nike have hooked up with local artists to create a unique screen printed poster for each town, nice!
