Arcade Fire have announced some UK tour dates.
The band, who released their album Suburbs recently, will be playing the following UK shows in December are part of their European tour:
1st – London, England – O2 Arena
8th – Birmingham, England – LG Arena
9th – Cardiff, Wales – Cardiff International Arena
11th – Manchester, England – Manchester Central
12th – Glasgow, Scotland – SECC
Hairy Bob can still boast that he has probably the best thing in Scarborough and he’s probably right. To celebrate its first Jamiversary they’ll be a big jam (naturally) some live bands and some grub at the park on August 21st.

Hyde Park in Leeds will be hosting a sausage fest to remember at the Back To The Sausage Jam II on August 21st.
Welcome, the new skater-owned-store in Leeds will be sponsoring the event alongside Sore, Sidewalk and Route One. So expect a lot of goods and a lot of fun as this is a full-blown jam. No rules, just a lot of people out skating. Great Scott!
The UK skateboard scene has been summoned to appear at a ye olde skate jamme kind of affair at the brand new concrete dreamland in Midsomer Norton.
The Official Grand Skate Jam will take place on August 14th from noon onwards and will be your usual comp format with lots of great stuff to be won and all the typical gubbins; except the theme is medieval castle style so put on your shining armour get jousting for the Knight of the Realm prize! Better than wearing a helmet, right? Protect ye neck…
Leigh-On-Sea skatepark will be holding a competition with Switch Skatestore for skateboarders only on August 29th.

Irish heads planning to attend the éS Game of Skate should make a note that the event is no longer going ahead at the previously reported date of August 15th but has been put back one week later to August 22nd instead. More time to skate outside your house practising late flips then obviously!
Wheelscape have been smashing out a huge new concrete park in Hastings over the last couple of month’s and the end result looks nothing but mammoth!
Those in the South will be treated by an opening jam aptly titled The Battle Of Hastings on September 4th with £1066 prize money and £300 best trick comp for those who conquer the new cradle and brand new lines throughout.
There’s also an after party planned with the history of Hastings skate scene on show, DJs, a live band and the usual carnage guaranteed at The Source bowl with free BBQ and beer for competitors. Get down there and enjoy this one as this place looks amazing! Well done to Sam and all involved in the local scene to make this work.
