Pic of the Week
Fidelity Skateboard’s Tommy Brandelik gets a double-whammy of a Moves this week, with this gnarly boots drop-in off the top of Wurzel Gummidge’s roof. He told Tommy to get off his land, so Tommy obliged.

Free booze, your favourite bands, clowns, food and more booze? Yes, MTV’s Gonzo show with Zane Lowe is 5 Years old so Night Raids went armed for a night absolute carnage with the lens and a pack of Menthols, cos that’s how we roll.
Gallows trashed the place after they played a killer set with Lethal Bizzle guesting on recent single ‘Rude Bois’, Queens of the Stoneage stamped the place into the ground and you will probably see Slack on MTV crowd surfing a sea of sweat blood and pizza cheese! No one caught him, but they did catch this lot at it…

Queens Of The Stoneage ripped the roof off!

Gallows broke everything and gave it to the crowd!

The magic finger was ever present..

The Orchestra of Wolves were charging!

Spot the Clowns..

The pizza ran out fast…

Team Gallows got dunked..

The ladies were rocking it…

The gents were pretty monged…

Kellyophonics and Gallows really do love each other!

Even the Old Bill turned up…

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY GONZO!
KEEP ON ROCKIN’!
New York’s psychedelic warlords MGMT have posted their ‘Electric Feel‘ video online this week at www.whoismgmt.com.
This wonderful band is one of Crossfire’s Top Tips for 2008 and we can safely say that the promo copy of their album ‘Oracular Spectacular’ is played daily here at HQ and has a tendency to turn people on from first listen. The video below is interactive for you to get stoned to and make your own video – seriously you could be there for days, so much fun, do it.
Look out for an interview with vocalist and guitar strummer Andrew Vanwyngarden and keyboard wizard Ben Goldwasser on this very site soon as this band will blow your fucking mind.
Crossfire buddy Johners managed to head up to the place on maps ‘where dragons be’, otherwise known as Manchester and popped along to Zombie Stu’s latest exhibition Never Been.
Check the Cornish one’s blog for pics of the show and also his own drawings and life.
The Cuban Skateboard Crisis
If you thought you had it hard not being able to afford a new deck, then spare a thought for skateboarders in Cuba.
Phil Brown’s latest documentary shows the difficulties faced by Cuban skateboarders, as there are no skateshops and trade blocks means mail ordering decks and hardware is banned. This means skaters are dependent on boards being brought in by friends from other countries, or fixing and repairing broken boards anyway they can.
The Cuban Skateboard Crisis is available to watch below, but please head over to www.skatecuba.co.uk to see if you can help in anyway and show your support.
