Slayer are planning a new album for 2008.
Reports suggest that the band are to started working on new material for their new album, and will support it by touring the world. The band recently recieved their 3rd Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, to following their win for Eyes Of The Insane last year.
Cat Power will play Shepherds Bush Empirewith her full band, The Dirty Delta Blues.
The London date is the only UK date planned for this year to showcase her upcoming release Jukebox. Chan Marshall will hit Shepherds Bush on January 27th and you can check out some in-studio footage below:

Arctic Monkeys are planning to record new material soon.
Drummer Matt Helders went on to explain that the band want to record new songs and release them as one-off non-album singles including Sandtrap which was debuted live on their recent tour. Helders said:
“There’s really nothing planned. It just depends how it goes, which is a nice change. We can go into the studio and not necessarily have to have something done by, like, the end of the month. It’ll be like, ‘Just see what happens'”
