Death Day announced for Shoreham Bowl on Sunday July 10th

Death Skateboards have announced today that Sunday July 10th will now be christened as Death Day at Shoreham’s concrete bowl. Expect Death Skateboards and Urethane team rider to be present including Benson, Steak, Rhys Grogan, Boots, Calow, Moss, Patrick, Garbett, Questions, Nowik, Sweeney, The Plasterer, Cov Sid and various guests. This should be one hell of a session.

The jam will be followed by Duane Peter’s band the U.S Bombs playing live at The Hydrant, so get your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the night. Spread that word.

Vans Downtown Showdown to be held in London on August 20th!

The last 2 Downtown Showdown events that Vans have rolled out in Europe in the last 2 years have been amazing to watch from afar so it’s welcoming news today that this fantastic gathering will be hosted on our doorstep this year!

The VANS European Downtown Showdown event has been announced today to be held on the Saturday 20th August in Old Spitalfields Market, London and will be a free event for all. 50’000 Euro’s will be up for grabs for those pro riders invited to partake so get this in your diary and let your parents be aware in case they have plans to get out of the country in the school holidays!

Crossfire Xmas Jam 2010!

This year’s Crossfire Xmas Jam will take place at Bay Sixty 6 Skatepark in London on Saturday 11th December 2010.

Tickets are £8 in advance from Slam City Skates online at Ticketweb or £10 on the door on the day from midday. The Mini Ramp comp this year is sponsored by Flip Skateboards, Mob Grip and Ricta Wheels.

1pm: Unsponsored Jam (Winner of each obstacle gets a Blueprint deck and Slam vouchers)

Driveway / Vert Wall (20 mins)
Hip / Quarter (20 mins)
Wembley Gap (20 mins)
Best ledge/manual trick (20 mins)

3pm: Sponsored / Pro Comp (Winner of each obstacle gets £50)

Driveway / Vert Wall (20 mins)
Hip / Quarter (20 mins)
Hubba / Over the Bin (20 mins)
Massive ledge / Ski Jump (20 mins)

5pm: Mini Ramp Jam till finish (MVP gets £100, Best trick gets £100)

Start planning your travel and accommodation if you are coming from out of town, the nearest cheap place to stay is Hostel 639 on Harrow Rd just 20 minutes away from the skate park but note you have to book in advance.

The pro rider guestlist is the biggest it’s been since we’ve started! Over 100 skateboarders from the aforementioned teams are going be tearing it up on the day so get hyped.

There is no official after party, but we will all be heading to Mau Mau’s for boozing and vibesing. Over 18s, come along and celebrate 2010 with us.
