Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba has formed a new balled called Matt Skiba and the Sekrets.
The band is composed of Skiba, drummer Jarrod Alexander from My Chemical Romance and AFI bassist Hunter Burgan with the band having signed to Superball Music.
Their debut album Babylon is due out this year.
The first acts for the Reading and Leeds Festival were announced this morning with My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Muse named as main stage headliners. Beady Eye, Janes Addiction and 2 Many DJs were announced to headline the Radio One Stage and The Horrors, The Midnight Beast and Pete Doherty named as Festival Republic stage headliners.
Madness make a surprise but very welcome slot on the main stage on Saturday, (arguably the best festival band on the entire bill) and Henry Rollins will surely pull a big crowd for his stand up comedy routine, don’t miss the Black Flag vocalist if you have not seen him before.
