The USA’s largest covered skatepark?

The state of Oregon in the USA may be famous for its huge amount of outdoor concrete skateparks but it looks like skaters will have an option to shred indoors soon with the building of a brand new $2.5 million build that has been reported as the ‘nation’s largest covered skatepark’.

Washington-Jefferson Park in Eugene, Oregon will host the half acre site under a freeway with 23,000 sq. ft of skateable terrain. If you compare the new Beast Rampz park in Manchester at 27,500 sq ft, this doesn’t seem like it will be breaking the record books worldwide and considering the US is well known for pushing the boat out this seems small in comparison to European builds. Is this really the largest covered park?

The world’s largest outdoor skatepark is said to be Black Pearl, situated in the Cayman Islands with over 52,000 sq ft of concrete to shred followed by Sao Bernando Skate Park in Brazil with 45,000 sq ft of space and then the SMP Skate Park in China with 44,936 sq ft.
