It doesn’t have to happen is a campaign developed by young people for young people which aims to reduce the number of young people who carry knives. Supported by the Home Office, the campaign, which launched in May 2008, has used radio, digital, mobile and outdoor advertising to drive young people to a page on the social networking site Bebo which provides a platform for peer-to-peer engagement, peer endorsed anti knife messages and youth generated content. So far the campaign has attracted over 6,000 Bebo friends. Sign up today.
