Spank the Mini!

It’s all getting very arty this winter… Must be something to do with the climate change outside..? In any case, when artists and skaters collide, it sometimes creates beautiful things that merge both disciplines.

Such is the case for the current Spank The Monkey show going on at the Baltic gallery in Gateshead, where a beautiful 6 ft mini ramp lays in wake for a good thrashing.

The open times for the ramp, situated on Level 4, are as follows:

Monday-Friday: 12.00-13.00 & 16.00-17.00
Weekends: 11.00- 12.00, 14.00-15.00 & 16.00-17.00

Aside from the pretty transitions, Spank the Monkey has gathered work from 22 contemporary artists including Banksy, Ed Templeton, Shepard Fairey, Dzine and Takeshi Murakami. The exhibition is open till January 7th 2007.

Peep the footy of Mischief mates Liam Sproat and Ollie Tyreman here.
