New park plans for Edinburgh

It’s been long overdue but finally it looks like Edinburgh skate locals could be shredding a new state of the art skate park very soon.

Plans for a new park are online and include an over-vert bowled corner, clover bowl with pool coping, hipped mini-ramp, ledges, wallrides, the lot. This looks like it could be exactly what the Scots need.

The proposed site is Saughton Park with Clachan Construction heading up the project, the same company that built Saltcoats, Perth and Penicuik skateparks amongst others. Work begins this month so look out for updates as it takes shape.
