Meanwhile 2 re opens with a bang

August 17th, 2008 by Crossfire

Meanwhile 2 was officially re-opened with a bang this weekend as the annual Gap Jam in association with Globe Shoes, SUSO Drinks, Westminster Council and Freestyle Skateparks went off in Royal Oak.

The Globe ledge comp was won by Nicky Howells and Dan Wileman and the hip comp saw Blind Skateboards rider Chris Oliver frontside flip the wall into the street.

Aaron Sweeney took the money from the new transfer line from bank to bowl with a backside 360 in front of a packed house. Kevin McKeon, Rob Smith, Steak, Horsey, Matt Davies and many more also flew the flag over the new line. This years Gap jam was taken by Crayon Skateboards and Globe shoes rider Dan Wileman whose bigspin flip was enough to shut the place down after 10 minutes but Dave Snaddon didn’t give up until his backside flip went down perfectly right at the whistle.

Thanks to everyone who made it out and of course all of the UK skate companies and teams that made the trip down there as we could not have done this without you. Look out for a feature here this week with a full video edit.
