Lords of Dogtown is the acclaimed, true life story of three teenage surfers who radicalised the sport of skateboarding in the 1970’s. When three young friends Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta and Jay Adams started trying out new tricks in the empty swimming pools of unsuspecting neighbours they had no idea they were creating tricks that would take the skateboarding world by storm and become the basis for the whole movement. They also didn’t realise it would make household names of them all.
The box set featuring the amazing documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys is released on 16th January and also to rent from your local store. It also includes amazing extras including a director’s commentary and 9 behind-the-scenes featurettes. If you want some roots then this is for you.
