Danson skate park to open in East London

It seems that good news is about to hit London as it will soon have another concrete skatepark to shred in January 2009. The Danson Skatepark was funded by a national lottery grant and will rep a bowl and small street area. We hear that the area itself looks pretty safe with surrounding football pitches and Leisure centre very close and it’s also nearby to Bexleyheath train station with a 5-10 minute skate to get there. Parking looks like it will be good and looks likely to close at 8pm every night so plenty of time to get a shred on.

The parks concrete is currently setting and will take a while. It’s pretty safe to say DO NOT skate this park until it’s officially open just like any other as the concrete will become rough as a badgers arse once it sets if you decide an early session is a good idea. Check it out below and thanks to Thomas Hardcastle for the pics and info.
